Day 29: Gone in Sixty Seconds

Ooooooh yeah, this movie is the dictionary definition of so bad it’s good!

Did you know that there is actually a word for that? There is a word in french describing when a movie is so bad it’s good, and that word is nanarThere is even a website dedicated to Nanars, called www.nanarland.com

Sadly, the creators of this site did not include Gone in Sixty Seconds, or Con Air, or The Rock, or Face/Off, but the site is also totally french so maybe they haven’t considered the nanar action we get over here in the USA. I should make a spin off site called www.cagenanars.com!! Don’t steal my idea!

I have now watched 32 Cage films in a row, and I feel like Gone in Sixty Seconds was Cage at his absolute Cagiest!! He hit so many Cagism’s I was overwhelmed, I had to capture all of them and put them into a mega edit, Dude was blowing my mind!! The first clip is serious Cage, being sentimental about cars. The second clip is overacting Cage, pulling one over on a dude. The third clip is crazy Cage. The fourth clip is bad boy Cage. And the fifth, weirding us out Cage (my personal favorite!) The only thing missing in Gone in Sixty Seconds in an epic flip out, but I’m not bummed cause we’ve seen plenty of those.

This was Cage’s 3rd movie with Jerry Brukheimer as the producer, the other two being Con Air and The Rock. I’ve been trying to figure out why these guys keep working together but it’s not really mentioned on google anywhere! Maybe they’re just bros? If you have any intel please let me know in the comments!
