This one was actually pretty good too! It was a thriller movie based on the true events of a psycho killer in Anchorage Alaska. The killer (played so so well by John Cusack) was a local business and family man who would capture girls, torture and rape them, then take them to the woods on an airplane, set them free, then fucking hunt and kill them. This was a real person. What the fuck.
As someone who was born and raised in the northwest, which is like the serial killer capital of the world, this movie really creeped me out. I am also a sucker for this genre, so I was pumped to be finishing off my 3 in a row on The Frozen Ground.
Cage played the detective trying to nail the bastard, and disney girl Vanessa Hudgens played one of the killer’s victims who escaped and helped get the killer locked up.
I’m gonna tell you a halfway embarrassing secret: about 6 or so years ago there was a major snow storm in Seattle, and I was snowed into my apartment with my husband, sister, and brother in law, and we decided in a drunken stupor to watch High School Musical 2, and we have been obsessed ever since. We even watched it twice in a row that night! I know every song in the musical, and many of them I actually enjoy. Here are some examples of my favorites:

Well my point is this: Vanessa Hudgens has come a long way from HSM2. In The Frozen Ground she plays a hooker and stripper who smokes meth and her pimp is fucking 50 Cent!!
That hair!! I was also delighted to find that 50 Cent, or Curtis Jackson, was one of the executive producers on this movie. They really wanted some of that rapper money to back this thing up!
So there ya go, 3 Cage movies in a row!! Boom, I’m unstoppable! And 2 out of the 3 were actually enjoyable, not bad!
