Day 22: Leaving Las Vegas

Well that was just a beautiful, light hearted, and easy watch after a long day of work! There is nothing better than snuggling up on your couch with the ones you love; your grandmother, your ten year old niece or nephew, and maybe your priest, and enjoying a warm and fuzzy cinematic experience like Leaving Las Vegas. I personally like to watch bits of this movie each morning as I’m getting ready to start my day, almost like a affirmation that the world is good and I can have faith in humanity!!

Just kidding. That was the most depressing Cage movie EVER. If you need me I will be curled up in the fetal position in the corner of my apartment sobbing.

But Cage totally nailed it, and it was for sure a genius movie. And he won his Oscar on this role, so this is a big milestone on the road to watching all of the Cage movies!

Gotta love that Elisabeth Shue. This was a far departure from Adventures in Babysitting.

I’m glad to have finally seen Leaving Las Vegas, but I don’t know that I would want to put myself through that again. As much as I love to totally bum myself out watching a man drink himself to death, I think I’m going to focus my attention on the fact that I am about to watch THE ROCK, CON AIR, AND FACE OFF ALL IN A ROW!!! It’s finally here!!! Yaaaaaaay!!!
